Ms. Virginia Buzzell
Virginia Buzzell received her Bachelors of the Arts in Music from Southern Virginia University in 2019, where she studied under Prof. Heather Dobbins, Dr. Mark Taylor, Dr. Kyle Nielson, and Dr. Eric Hanson. She is primarily a tenor saxophonist and percussionist (though her cats wish she played less noisy instruments). Virginia is entering her fourth year as a teacher, three of which were spent as an elementary music and choir teacher, and an Assistant Band Director at Northside High School. She will be entering her fourth year in the classroom. Prior to her career in education, Virginia was a percussion and saxophone clinician, an instructor for Music in the Mountains Summer Music Enhancement in Rockbridge, Virginia, and has taught private studio lessons. Virginia volunteers with her county’s 4-H program. Virginia is currently on her journey of earning a M.M.E from Georgia College and State University.
