Throughout his career as a music educator, David McDaniel has taught instrumental music in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.  His concert and marching bands have competed nationally earning finalist placement at competitions such as, the Grand Nationals Adjudicators Invitational and Bands of America. Mr. McDaniel has presented feature clinic performances with his bands at state, regional, and national professional conferences across the United States and has been invited as a guest speaker and lecturer for university classes. 

 

He has an extensive background in teaching and conducting beyond school ensembles that include; drum & bugle corps, community youth orchestras, individual lessons through private studios, and church music programs. He has also overseen percussion and guard units in the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit, who under his direction have won state and championship titles. In addition, Mr. McDaniel has had band arrangements commissioned by various high schools and colleges.  

 

David McDaniel has served as an adjudicator for marching and concert band festivals throughout the Southeast including the 2012 Louisiana State Marching Band Championships. He is in his 34th year of teaching and currently teaching choir at Thomson Middle School and Assistant Director of Bands at Northside High School, in Warner Robins, GA.
